The SMT223 is an Inmos IMSB415 signal compatible TRAM which is designed to enable transputer serial links and control signals between equipment which has different power supplies, or where link communication is required over greater distances than those possible by standard transputer links. The SMT223 uses differential drivers and receivers and complies with the voltage levels used in IEC specification RS422. Link speeds of up to 20MBits/s are possible (using a suitable cable) and common mode voltages of up to 7v are accommodated.
